Quinton Aaron’s Family Confirms GoFundMe Is Legit After $47K in Donations

Fans and well-wishers have contributed more than $47,000 via a GoFundMe campaign to support actor Quinton Aaron, best known for his starring role in The Blind Side, as he recovers from a serious health scare — and his family is speaking out to clarify both his medical situation and concerns surrounding his marriage.

Aaron, 41, was hospitalized after a fall at his Atlanta home that led to a severe medical emergency. He was diagnosed with a spinal stroke following complications from the fall, and his condition required intensive medical care and life support.

Family Speaks Out on Health and Fundraiser

A GoFundMe campaign was launched to help cover mounting medical expenses as Aaron remains under treatment. Contributions have exceeded $47,000, reflecting strong public support. In the wake of the fundraiser’s success, Aaron’s family emphasized that the page is legitimate and urged the public to ignore misinformation circulating online.

“He is alert, aware and recovering,” the family said in a statement. “The Aaron family has a lot to deal with for the betterment of our loved one, but we will keep everyone posted regarding Quinton’s health as we see fit. Factual information will only be delivered by a blood relative via our family spokesperson and lifelong friend, Liana Mendoza.”

Investigation Into Marriage Raises Questions

In addition to updates on Aaron’s recovery, the family revealed they plan to investigate Margarita Aaron, Quinton’s wife. A statement provided to Us Weekly on February 3 reads:

“Since the health crisis of our beloved family member Quinton Aaron, we have raised some suspicions about the legitimacy of Quinton and Margarita’s marriage to each other, as well as her legitimacy as a registered nurse. We have found some alarming details. We as a family believe Margarita isn’t who she claimed to be to us. This has caused us to want to investigate her further.”

Margarita, for her part, told TMZ that she and Quinton “got spiritually married” when they tied the knot in December 2024. She also clarified that she holds no power of attorney and has never made medical decisions on Quinton’s behalf.

However, Quinton’s brother, Jarred Aaron, told TMZ he believed Margarita had assisted in making “crucial and life-saving medical decisions.” Margarita responded, “If he’s saying I’m such a bad person, why does he live with me and Quinton?” Jarred added that he has not informed Quinton of these concerns, saying he wants to wait until his brother fully recovers. “I genuinely fear for my brother’s life,” he said.

Health Challenges and Public Support

Aaron’s hospitalization followed a dramatic fall at his Atlanta residence, leading to severe complications including a spinal stroke and a serious blood infection. His recovery has been slow but steady, and the public outpouring of financial and emotional support underscores the love fans have for Aaron, whose role in The Blind Side inspired millions.

The family expressed gratitude for all donations, well-wishes, and encouragement from fans around the world, while reaffirming that updates on Quinton’s condition will come directly from his relatives or authorized spokespersons.
