The Atlanta Hawks are adding a fresh look to their uniforms this season with a new jersey patch partner. Earlier today, the team announced a multi-year deal with Early Warning Services that will put Paze, its online checkout solution, front and center on all official Hawks jerseys.
Paze isn’t just about branding—it’s about making online shopping easier and safer. Backed by participating banks and credit unions, the platform uses tokenization so card numbers aren’t shared with merchants. Already, more than 150 million credit and debit cards have been added to Paze, and that number keeps climbing.
“Partnering with the Atlanta Hawks is a natural fit for us,” said Serge Elkiner, General Manager of Paze. “Atlanta is not only home to one of the NBA’s most dynamic franchises, but also a hub for payment innovation. Teaming up with a franchise that shares our passion for speed and performance makes this partnership even more meaningful. With Paze branding on the Hawks’ jersey, we’re showcasing the same energy fans see on the court in the online checkout experience—speed, teamwork, and innovation.”
The fit makes sense—Atlanta has earned the nickname “Transaction Alley,” with more than 245 fintech companies powering payments worldwide. Now Paze joins that energy, not only through the Hawks jersey but also as the team’s Official Online Checkout Partner and Digital Wallet.
The deal also comes with a business and community angle. Paze will headline “Hawks Elite,” a program connecting Hawks Business Members, corporate partners, and prospects through curated networking opportunities. And beyond business, the Hawks and Paze will team up to engage fans and entrepreneurs on the importance of safe and secure digital payments.
Fans will really see the partnership come to life on Nov. 8, when the Hawks host the Lakers at State Farm Arena. Paze is the presenting partner of that night’s game, with branding, digital activations, and in-arena experiences designed to connect directly with Hawks Nation.
“Paze checkout has quickly become an emerging solution in the financial technology industry,” said Andrew Saltzman, Hawks Chief Commercial Officer and President of Business Enterprise. “Its core values are rooted in innovation and providing a first-class checkout experience offering added security for all users. With those shared values, we are proud to have the Paze branding woven into the fabric of the Atlanta Hawks uniforms and throughout our community.”
From in-arena signage to digital spots, Paze will be everywhere this season—including the Hawks press conference backdrop right alongside the team’s primary logo.
Fans can learn more about the partnership and how to activate their cards in the Paze wallet by visiting Hawks.com/Paze.
