Flex Scheduling Guidelines
As with previous seasons, the NFL’s flexible scheduling policy remains in effect and could impact various games throughout the season. Flex scheduling allows the league to move matchups between Sunday afternoon, Sunday night, Monday night, and Thursday night time slots to maximize viewership and competitive interest.
- Sunday Night Football: May be flexed up to twice between Weeks 5–10 and at the league’s discretion during Weeks 11–17.
- Monday Night Football: Flexing allowed at the NFL’s discretion during Weeks 12–17.
- Thursday Night Football: Up to two games may be flexed between Weeks 13–17.
Only Sunday afternoon games or those listed as TBD are eligible to be moved. In such cases, the originally scheduled primetime game will be moved to Sunday afternoon to accommodate the adjustment.
Additionally, Sunday afternoon kickoffs may shift between 1 p.m., 4:05 p.m., and 4:25 p.m. ET, depending on scheduling needs.
Final Week Format
Week 18, the final week of the regular season, remains flexible and unassigned until the conclusion of Week 17. As in previous years, the NFL will determine the full slate of times and dates for the final games based on playoff implications and team standings.
- Two games will be played on Saturday, January 3 (4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET).
- The remaining games will be held on Sunday, January 4, with afternoon start times at 1 p.m. and 4:25 p.m. ET.
- One Sunday Night Football game will close out the regular season at 8:20 p.m. ET.
With new leadership, a competitive roster, and heightened national exposure, the Falcons enter 2025 poised to make a strong impression both in Atlanta and beyond.
