Atlanta Dream Expands Power Her Dreams Clinics Across Metro Atlanta

The Atlanta Dream are doubling down on their investment in the next generation, announcing 20 free, all-girls basketball clinics across metro Atlanta as part of the 2026 season.

The initiative, part of the Power Her Dreams platform, is designed to reach at least 1,500 girls while continuing to build on a foundation centered around growing the game and empowering girls and women through sport.

These clinics aren’t just about basketball — they’re about building something bigger.

From first dribbles to real-life lessons, the Dream are creating spaces where girls ages 6–14 can develop their game while also strengthening confidence, leadership skills and a sense of community.

“Our mission is to grow the game of basketball while empowering girls to be leaders, on and off the court,” said Aisha Greenlee, the team’s director of community impact.

Each session is structured with intention — starting with a welcome and warm-up before moving into skill stations, competitive drills and scrimmages tailored by experience level. On the court, Dream-trained youth coaches will guide participants through technique, agility and game IQ development.

But just as important are the “empowerment moments.”

That’s where the impact stretches beyond the hardwood — with a focus on confidence, courage and community, reinforcing the idea that what’s learned in the gym carries into everyday life.

The Dream will also partner with the Bria Janelle Foundation for one of the clinic stops, continuing to expand its reach through collaboration and community connection.

The clinics will be held throughout the metro area, making access a priority across multiple counties:

  • March 24–25 – Atlanta Metropolitan State College (Fulton)
  • April 28 – Coan Park (DeKalb)

Over the past five years, the Dream have already made a measurable impact, hosting more than 5,000 girls through the Power Her Dreams clinics — providing not just instruction, but mentorship and life skills that extend far beyond the game.

Now, in 2026, that mission continues to grow.

For Atlanta, this isn’t just about developing players. It’s about creating opportunities, breaking barriers and making sure every girl who steps into a gym feels like she belongs there.
