Atlanta United Transfers Edwin Mosquera to Independiente Santa Fe

Atlanta United announced today that the club has transferred midfielder Edwin Mosquera to Independiente Santa Fe of the Colombian first division for an undisclosed transfer fee, following the termination of his loan with Millonarios. The move opens a U-22 Initiative roster spot for Atlanta as the club continues shaping its roster ahead of the 2026 season.

Mosquera originally joined Atlanta United on July 12, 2022, arriving from Deportivo Independiente Medellín as a young, attacking-minded winger with upside. Over his time with the 5-Stripes, he made 59 MLS appearances, earning 10 starts while contributing six goals and four assists. His pace and direct play gave Atlanta a different look in attack, particularly in transition moments.

The move marks a new chapter for Mosquera as he returns to Colombia to continue his professional career, while Atlanta gains roster flexibility heading into the next phase of the rebuild.
