— The Atlanta Falcons have signed inside linebacker Eugene Asante to the practice squad, the team announced.
Asante originally signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft out of Auburn and has also spent time with the Cleveland Browns during the 2025 season.
A native of Chantilly, Virginia, Asante played six collegiate seasons split between North Carolina (2019–21) and Auburn (2022–24). Over his college career, he appeared in 65 games, making 25 starts, and totaled 196 tackles (120 solo), 14 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble.
The Falcons will return home after Christmas for a Monday Night Football matchup on December 29, when they take on the Los Angeles Rams at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
