The Atlanta Vibe made a splash in the 2025 Major League Volleyball Draft, selecting versatile Creighton outside hitter Ava Martin with the No. 2 overall pick and prolific SMU setter Averi Carlson at No. 7 overall.
Martin, known for her all-around game and athleticism, brings scoring, defense, and leadership to the Vibe’s roster. Carlson, a standout playmaker at SMU, is recognized for her precision setting and ability to elevate the players around her. Together, they form a Top-10 duo that adds both talent and depth to Atlanta’s lineup.
The Vibe continue to build a competitive core, pairing their draft picks with the recently announced leadership of General Manager and Assistant Coach Laura “Bird” Kuhn, signaling the organization’s commitment to excellence both on and off the court.
Atlanta fans will get a chance to see the team in action at home this season. The Vibe are bringing the energy back to the heart of downtown Atlanta with two exciting home matches at the Georgia State Convocation Center on April 2nd and 4th. They’ll face off against two powerhouse teams — the 2024 champions, the Omaha Supernovas, and the reigning 2025 champs, the Orlando Valkyries — in what promises to be a thrilling showcase of top-tier volleyball. Last year, over 8,000 fans packed the arena for an unforgettable weekend of action, and this year the Vibe are ready to make it even bigger, louder, and more electric. Get ready, Atlanta — it’s time to feel the Vibe!
Before the season kicks off, fans can get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the team at the Vibe’s Open Practice on December 13 at Duluth High School. Attendees can watch the athletes train and prepare to compete at the highest level — and even grab an autograph from their favorite player after practice.
