The Atlanta Falcons have signed defensive lineman Ben Stille to the practice squad, the team announced today. In corresponding moves, Atlanta has released offensive lineman Raiqwon O’Neal and long snapper Zach Triner from the practice squad.
Originally signed by the Miami Dolphins following the 2022 NFL Draft out of Nebraska, Stille brings both size and experience to Atlanta’s defensive front. The Ashland, Neb., native has appeared in 18 career games (one start), recording 17 tackles (seven solo), three quarterback hits, two sacks, one pass defense, and one fumble recovery.
Stille’s NFL journey has taken him through several organizations, including the Dolphins (2022), Cleveland Browns (2022), Arizona Cardinals (2023–24), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2024).
The 6-foot-4, 296-pound defensive lineman was a steady force during his six seasons (2016–21) at Nebraska, appearing in 53 games (34 starts) and totaling 149 tackles and 14.5 sacks while establishing himself as a leader on the Cornhuskers’ defense.
As the Falcons prepare for their Week 11 Salute to Service Game against the Carolina Panthers, every roster move carries weight. The team is searching for answers — and momentum — as it looks to rebound and reestablish its identity on both sides of the ball.
Sunday’s matchup isn’t just another game — it’s a defining moment for this Falcons team. With pride, purpose, and playoff hopes on the line, Atlanta has no room for error. The Dirty Birds need this one.
Kickoff for the Falcons vs. Panthers Salute to Service Game is set for 1:00 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
