ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks are gearing up for NBA 2K26 Summer League action in Las Vegas, and today the team announced its full roster for the event, which runs from July 10 through July 20.
Hawks assistant coach Bryan Bailey will serve as head coach this summer. Bailey has plenty of Summer League experience, having led Utah’s squad in both 2021 and 2022. He’ll be joined by Seth Jackson (College Park Skyhawks assistant coach), Sanjay Lumpkin, Reggis Onwukamuche, Jacob Porter, Ashton Smith, Chris Sosnik, Ekpe Udoh, and Conner Varney on the staff.
All eyes will be on Asa Newell, the Hawks’ No. 23 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft. Newell made history at Georgia as the first freshman since Jumaine Jones in 1997-98 to lead the team in both scoring (15.4 points per game) and rebounding (6.9 rebounds per game). He also tied Anthony Edwards’ program record for SEC Freshman of the Week honors, earning the award four times last season.
Newell will be joined by Nikola Đurišić, Dwight Murray Jr., and Jacob Toppin – all of whom spent time with the College Park Skyhawks during the 2024-25 season – along with third-year guard Kobe Bufkin, who’s expected to bring leadership and stability to the young roster.
The Hawks will open Summer League play on Friday, July 11, facing the Miami Heat. Tip-off is set to air on ESPN2 and FanDuel Sports Network Southeast.
Fans can expect an exciting summer as the Hawks evaluate their young core and incoming talent under Bailey’s leadership in Las Vegas.
