The Atlanta Vibe (14-8) continued their dominant run, securing their eighth straight win with a decisive victory over the Columbus Fury (5-15) on Sunday at GSU Convocation Center.
Firing on all cylinders, the Vibe hit .278 as a team, with middle blocker McKenna Vicini leading the charge. She tallied 10 kills with a season-high .600 hitting efficiency. Outside hitters Leah Edmond (eight kills) and Pia Timmer (seven kills) provided additional firepower, while newcomer Micaya White made an immediate impact in her debut, hitting an impressive .714 in the third set.
Atlanta controlled the match in every statistical category, outblocking Columbus 10-7, outdigging them 55-39, and outpacing them in assists (36-25) and service aces (7-2). Timmer, Edmond, and opposite hitter Aiko Jones each recorded two aces.
On the defensive end, libero Morgan Hentz was once again a force, leading the team with 16 digs. She remains the league leader in total digs (397) and digs per set (4.51).
The Vibe now hit the road for a showdown against San Diego Mojo at Viejas Arena on Tuesday, April 8. First serve is set for 10:00 p.m. ET as Atlanta looks to keep their hot streak alive.
