Congratulations to Atlanta United who won the MLS Cup by defeating the Portland Timbers 2-0 on Saturday night.
Atlanta United’s Josef Martinez became the first player in MLS history to be named the MVP of the All-Star Game, season and MLS Cup.
Atlanta United winning the MLS Cup is an amazing accomplishment, being that Atlanta is a young team that’s in it’s second season. The last time a professional Atlanta Team
won a championship was back in 1995 when the Atlanta Braves won the World Series and now after 23 years the Five Stripes have won a championship for our city.
Another accomplishment happened when 73,019 Atlanta fans came to support the team creating a new all-time MLS Attendance record.
Be sure to show Atlanta United your support at a special victory parade to celebrate Atlanta United historic win on Monday, December 10th at 10 am. Click here for all the latest details.
