The accolades continue to pile up for Bijan Robinson.
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 17, the NFL announced today, following a historic performance in the Falcons’ 27–24 Monday night victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
Robinson delivered one of the most dominant outings of the NFL season, totaling 229 scrimmage yards — a career-high 195 rushing yards to go along with 34 receiving yards — while scoring two touchdowns, one on the ground and one through the air. His signature moment came on a 93-yard touchdown run, the longest rush in Falcons franchise history and the longest run by any player in the NFL this season. It also marked the first 90-yard rushing touchdown by an Atlanta running back since Warrick Dunn accomplished the feat against the Giants in 2006.
Monday night was familiar territory for Robinson’s brilliance. The Rams game marked his second Monday Night Football performance this season with more than 200 scrimmage yards, after he exploded for 238 yards against Buffalo on Oct. 13. Robinson is now the first player in NFL history to record multiple 200-yard scrimmage performances on Monday Night Football in a single season.
The Week 17 showing also pushed Robinson into the Falcons’ record books. With 229 yards against Los Angeles, he broke the franchise record for scrimmage yards in a single season, finishing the night with 2,255 — surpassing William Andrews’ long-standing mark of 2,176 set in 1983. On a career scale, Robinson’s 5,605 scrimmage yards now stand as the most by any player under the age of 24 in NFL history, passing Christian McCaffrey.
This honor marks Robinson’s second NFC Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2025 season, after previously earning the recognition in Week 6. At just 23 years old, Robinson continues to redefine expectations, cementing himself as one of the league’s most dynamic and impactful offensive weapons.
Since 2024, the Falcons have seen several players earn NFC Player of the Week honors, including Robinson, Zane Gonzalez, KhaDarel Hodge, Kirk Cousins, Troy Andersen and Jessie Bates III — a reflection of the balance and playmaking across all three phases for Atlanta.
With records falling and milestones stacking up, Robinson’s Week 17 performance wasn’t just another great game — it was a statement. One that further solidifies his place among the NFL’s elite and underscores a historic season for the Falcons’ star running back
