Quavo Set to Perform at Halftime of Hawks Opening Night Presented by State Farm

The Atlanta Hawks are turning up the energy for Opening Night. The team announced today that Atlanta rap icon Quavo will take the stage for a special halftime performance during Opening Night presented by State Farm on Wednesday, October 22, at State Farm Arena.

Every fan in attendance will receive a special “WE Different” black shirt, courtesy of State Farm, adding to what’s expected to be one of the most electric home openers in recent memory. Fans are encouraged to secure tickets now at Hawks.com/tickets before the game sells out.

Adding to the star power, rapper, actor, and College Park Skyhawks owner 2 Chainz will walk the Hawks out to the court for player introductions, setting the tone before tip-off. Just last week, Trae Young teamed up with 2 Chainz and Quavo to drop the new Atlanta anthem, “Where I Stay” — a track that perfectly captures the city’s swagger and the Hawks’ culture heading into the 2025–26 season.

“Hawks games are always a vibe, and I’m looking forward to bringing something special to halftime for my hometown team,” said Quavo. “Atlanta is home, and it means a lot to perform for Hawks fans as we celebrate a new season and everything we love about this city.”

Known for his distinctive melodic flow and boundary-pushing sound, Quavo continues to redefine hip-hop. Beyond his success as a member of the Grammy-nominated group Migos, the Atlanta native has built a thriving solo career, collaborating with artists like Post Malone, Travis Scott, Lana Del Rey, and Luke Bryan. His music bridges generations and genres — a true reflection of Atlanta’s creative pulse.

The night will open with a performance of the national anthem by Elijah Connor, whose commanding voice and stage presence have made him one of R&B’s most dynamic rising talents. Known for singles like “Appetite” and “Say the Word,” Connor’s soulful sound will set the tone for a night of energy, pride, and celebration.

Leading up to Opening Night, the Hawks and State Farm are bringing the excitement into the community by delivering 1,400 “WE Different” black shirts to local Good Neighbor Clubs across Atlanta. The gesture highlights both organizations’ ongoing commitment to the city and its fans.

“Our partnership with the Atlanta Hawks goes beyond the court — it’s about showing up for the community we both call home,” said Allyson Watts, Senior Vice President at State Farm.

Over the years, Hawks games have become a destination for music and culture — a true Atlanta experience. Last season’s halftime lineup featured artists such as Goodie Mob, Gucci Mane, Jagged Edge, Keith Sweat, Lakeyah, Mariah the Scientist, and Shamea Morton.

With Quavo bringing the energy and 2 Chainz leading the walkout, Opening Night 2025 is shaping up to be an unforgettable start to the season — one that celebrates basketball, music, and everything that makes Atlanta different.
