Gladiators defeat the Swamp Rabbits 2-1

The Gladiators returned home to face the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Tuesday March 7. at Gas South Arena.

Atlanta is coming off a road trip which saw them go 1-2-0. The Glads were outscored 16-2 over the weekend in South Carolina. Overall the Glads are 3-3-2-1 against Greenville in tens games so far this season.

After one period of play there no score.

After two periods of play both teams remained scoreless

 

In the final period Atlanta Zach Yoder was called on a penalty for hooking. A few minutes later Swamp Rabbits Tanner Eberle scored a power play goal assisted by Alex Ierullo and Max Martin to put the score 1-0.

Midway into the final period Atlanta tied the score with a goal by Derek Topatigh assisted by Cody Sylvester and Tim Davison.

In then final minutes Cody Sylvester scored a power play goal closing out the game with a 2-1 win, marking his 28th goal of the season.
