Grandy Twins Ready for Next Chapter Following 18th Birthday Milestone

Rising boxing prospects and former viral television sensations Steven and Daniel Grandy have officially entered a new chapter in their careers.

The twin brothers celebrated their 18th birthday on Friday, July 24, marking a significant milestone that now allows them to compete as adults. They’ll make that long-awaited debut on Friday, August 14, when BiYu Promotions launches its inaugural “Fights Under the Lights” boxing series at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas.

Competing in separate four-round bouts, the undefeated twins will fight in front of a hometown crowd of family, friends, and supporters from their adopted hometown of Houston. The event not only introduces an exciting new boxing series but also signals what many believe could be a breakout year for two of Texas’ brightest young prospects.

Long before stepping into the professional ranks, Steven and Daniel captured national attention as 5-year-olds with appearances on The Steve Harvey Show, Good Morning America, ESPN, and FOX Sports. Their natural charisma and boxing talent quickly made them fan favorites, but transitioning from child stars to undefeated professional fighters required years of discipline, sacrifice, and hard work.

Now, after patiently waiting for the opportunity to compete as adults, both brothers believe their journey has prepared them for this moment.

“We’ve worked our entire lives for moments like this,” Daniel Grandy said. “There were a lot of early mornings, long hours in the gym, and sacrifices that people never got to see. Since we went viral as kids, every step of the journey has made us stronger, and we’re incredibly grateful to our family, coaches, and everyone who believed in us. Turning 18 and finally being able to compete as adults feels like we’ve reached another important milestone, but we know this is only the beginning.”

While the birthday celebration marked a personal milestone, the focus quickly shifted back to training camp. The brothers say fans can expect the same exciting style that has helped establish them as two of boxing’s fastest-rising young stars.

“Fans can expect us to leave everything in the ring,” Steven Grandy said. “We’re coming to put on exciting performances, show how much we’ve improved, and give everyone a reason to remember August 14. We respect every opponent, but when that bell rings, we’re there to make a statement and continue building our careers one fight at a time.”

BiYu Promotions President Bobby Harrison believes the timing couldn’t be better for the talented twins.

“Steven and Daniel have earned everything that’s coming their way,” Harrison said. “Turning 18 is a huge milestone, and they’re entering this next phase of their careers with tremendous momentum. They’ve matured both as athletes and as young men, and I think fans are going to see two fighters who are ready to take the next step. We’re excited to have them featured on the inaugural ‘Fights Under the Lights’ card because they represent exactly what this series is all about—young talent, exciting competition, and the future of boxing.”

Steven Grandy (4-0, 4 KOs) will put his undefeated record and perfect knockout streak on the line against Gerardo Chavez Reyes (3-5, 2 KOs) in a scheduled four-round super featherweight bout. Daniel Grandy (4-0, 3 KOs) will also look to remain unbeaten when he faces Eduardo Tarango (1-5) in a separate four-round contest.

For the Grandy twins, August 14 represents far more than another night in the ring. It marks the beginning of their careers as adult competitors and the next step toward fulfilling the championship dreams they’ve been chasing since childhood. With hometown support behind them and momentum on their side, Steven and Daniel Grandy are ready to prove that the future of boxing is now.
