CHICAGO — The WNBA celebrated its 30th anniversary in record-breaking fashion as Team Spoon defeated Team Coop 129-122 in the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game Saturday night at a sold-out United Center.
With 19,783 fans in attendance, the game set a new WNBA All-Star attendance record and showcased the league’s brightest stars, rising rookies and legendary pioneers.
To commemorate the league’s milestone season, the WNBA introduced a new All-Star format featuring Hall of Fame legends Teresa Weatherspoon and Cynthia Cooper, who served as honorary general managers and drafted the two teams.
The night featured plenty of offense, highlight-reel moments and several pieces of league history.
New York Liberty forward Jonquel Jones earned All-Star MVP honors after posting an impressive 22 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists off the bench to lead Team Spoon. With the performance, Jones became the first player in WNBA history to capture the league’s regular-season MVP, Commissioner’s Cup MVP, WNBA Finals MVP and All-Star Game MVP awards.
Another milestone came from Seattle Storm veteran Nneka Ogwumike, who scored 11 points to become the WNBA’s all-time All-Star Game leading scorer with 127 career points, surpassing Maya Moore.
One of the loudest moments of the night belonged to 20-year-old rookie Dominique Malonga, who thrilled the Chicago crowd by throwing down the first dunk in a WNBA All-Star Game since Sylvia Fowles, reminding fans why she is considered one of the league’s brightest young stars.
Minnesota rookie Olivia Miles nearly recorded a triple-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, while Team Coop’s Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 28 points. Toronto Tempo guard Marina Mabrey caught fire early, scoring 23 points, all in the first half.
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark also entertained the crowd with 17 points, knocking down several deep three-pointers for Team Spoon.
The game featured strong representation from the Atlanta Dream.

The Shooting Stars Competition also entertained fans, with Jezelle Banks helping lead Washington to the title.
As the WNBA celebrates three decades of growth, the 2026 All-Star Weekend delivered exactly what fans hoped for—record crowds, unforgettable moments, emerging stars and a celebration of the league’s past, present and future.
The focus now shifts back to the regular season.
The Atlanta Dream return to action on Wednesday, July 29, when they travel to College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, to take on the Dallas Wings.
Atlanta then returns home to Gateway Center Arena on Friday, July 31, for a showdown with the Seattle Storm, before welcoming the Las Vegas Aces on August 3.
