Dream Dominate Fever Behind Balanced Attack, Improve to 10-4

The Atlanta Dream continued their strong stretch of basketball Thursday night, defeating the  Fever in Indiana to improve to 10-4 on the season and strengthen their position among the WNBA’s top teams.

Atlanta received contributions from every starter and controlled the game with its defense, interior scoring, and balanced offensive attack. The Dream’s starting lineup of Jordin Canada, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Naz Hillmon, and Angel Reese improved to 10-3 together this season.

The victory also improved Atlanta’s all-time record against Indiana to 36-34 overall and 15-22 on the road.

The Dream established their identity early by attacking the paint and forcing turnovers. Atlanta finished with 60 points in the paint, accounting for more than half of its offensive production. Defensively, the Dream forced 17 Fever turnovers and converted those miscues into 20 points.

Atlanta’s depth also played a key role. The bench made an immediate impact and finished with 19 points, helping maintain momentum throughout the game.

One of the game’s defining moments came in the second quarter when Atlanta once again caught fire offensively. The Dream scored 34 points in the period for the second consecutive game, tying their season-high for points in a quarter and creating separation heading into halftime.

The balanced scoring effort was historic.

Canada, Gray, Howard, Hillmon, and Reese all finished with at least 15 points, marking only the fourth time in franchise history that all five starters scored 15 or more points in the same game.

Angel Reese once again led the way.

The second-year star recorded her 10th double-double of the season, finishing with 21 points and 11 rebounds. The performance marked the 59th double-double of her career and continued what has been an outstanding season for the Dream forward.

Reese was aggressive from the opening tip, controlling the glass and consistently creating second-chance opportunities for Atlanta. Her energy set the tone on both ends of the floor.

Jordin Canada delivered one of her most complete performances of the season. The veteran point guard finished with 18 points, five assists, four steals, and controlled the pace of the game from start to finish. Her defensive pressure helped fuel several transition opportunities for the Dream.

Naz Hillmon continued her strong play with a season-high 17 points. Hillmon knocked down a team-high three three-pointers while adding four rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block. Her ability to stretch the floor created valuable spacing for Atlanta’s offense.

Allisha Gray added 17 points, three assists, and three steals. The reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Month once again provided steady leadership and timely scoring throughout the contest.

Rhyne Howard filled up the stat sheet with 16 points, five rebounds, six assists, two steals, and a block. Howard’s playmaking and defensive activity helped Atlanta maintain control whenever Indiana attempted to make a run.

The Dream’s ability to share the basketball and trust one another was evident throughout the night. Atlanta consistently found open shooters, attacked mismatches, and took advantage of transition opportunities created by its defense.

The win continues a strong stretch for Atlanta as the team builds momentum heading into the heart of the season.

The Dream are back in action today at State Farm Arena when they host the Indiana Fever once again. Atlanta will look to complete the back-to-back sweep and continue its winning momentum. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
