Eight Players Receive International Call-Ups for June FIFA Window

Atlanta United will be well represented on the international stage this month, as eight players have received call-ups from their respective national teams during the June FIFA international window.

Miguel Almirón and Matías Galarza headline the group after being named to Paraguay’s roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Luke Brennan, Dominik Chong Qui, Saba Lobjanidze, Alexey Miranchuk, Cooper Sanchez, and Adyn Torres will also join their respective national team camps.

Almirón and Galarza have joined Paraguay for a training camp ahead of the nation’s first World Cup appearance since 2010. Paraguay opens Group D play against the United States on June 12 before facing Turkiye on June 19 and Australia on June 25.

A veteran presence for his country, Almirón has made 75 appearances for Paraguay, recording nine goals and seven assists since making his debut in 2015. Galarza has earned 14 caps and contributed two goals and one assist, with both goals coming during Paraguay’s successful World Cup qualifying campaign.

Brennan will participate in the United States Under-21 Men’s National Team training camp in Rogaska Slatina, Slovenia, from June 1-9. The U.S. squad will face Ukraine on June 5 and Uzbekistan on June 8 as part of its preparation for future international competition. Brennan has represented the United States at the U-19, U-20, and U-21 levels and was a member of the U.S. team that advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Atlanta United Homegrown players Dominik Chong Qui and Cooper Sanchez have both been called into the United States Under-19 Men’s National Team camp, which will be held in Atlanta at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center. The U-19 squad will take on Japan on June 9 as it prepares for this summer’s Concacaf U-20 Championship, a tournament that serves as qualification for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Chong Qui has represented the United States at both the U-18 and U-19 levels, while Sanchez previously appeared for the U.S. U-17 and U-18 teams, including the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Lobjanidze joins Georgia for a pair of international friendlies against Romania on June 2 and Bahrain on June 5. Since making his debut in 2017, the winger has recorded four goals and six assists in 42 appearances for his country.

Miranchuk returns to Russia’s National Team for friendlies against Burkina Faso on June 5 and Trinidad and Tobago on June 9. The Atlanta captain has tallied 10 goals and nine assists in 50 international appearances since his debut in 2015.

Torres has been called up by Puerto Rico for an international friendly against Saudi Arabia on June 5 in Austin, Texas. The young midfielder previously represented United States Youth National Teams before making his senior international debut for Puerto Rico.

The international call-ups reflect Atlanta United’s growing influence across the global game, with players set to compete on some of soccer’s biggest stages while representing both club and country.
