The Atlanta Dream returned home and delivered one of their strongest performances of the young season, defeating the Dallas Wings to improve to 3-1 on the year. Behind a dominant defensive start and a balanced offensive attack, Atlanta controlled momentum for most of the night inside State Farm Arena.
The Dream opened the game with relentless defensive intensity, holding the Wings scoreless for the first 6:13 of the contest — one of the longest scoreless stretches to begin a game in WNBA history and a top-five mark all-time. Atlanta’s energy on both ends of the floor set the tone early and carried throughout the night.
Atlanta’s starting five of Jordin Canada, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Naz Hillmon and Angel Reese improved to 3-0 together this season. The win also moved the Dream to 31-20 all-time against Dallas and 19-7 at home in the series.
Rhyne Howard made an immediate statement in her return from injury, leading the Dream with a dominant all-around performance. Howard finished with 25 points, four rebounds, eight assists, four steals and two blocks while leading Atlanta in points, assists, steals and blocks.
Allisha Gray added 16 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block, continuing her strong start to the season. Angel Reese once again controlled the glass, finishing with 15 points, nine rebounds and two assists while leading the team in rebounding.
Jordin Canada contributed nine points, five rebounds and six assists while Te-Hina Paopao provided a major spark from beyond the arc. Paopao finished with nine points, five rebounds and six assists while shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range to lead the Dream in made threes.
Atlanta closed the game in dominant fashion, using a 23-5 run late to pull away and secure the 17-point victory in front of the home crowd.
The Atlanta Dream will return to State Farm Arena on Sunday to host the Phoenix Mercury. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. as Atlanta looks to build on its strong start to the 2026 season.
