Tonight’s domination also gives Atlanta its 18th victory against a Western Conference opponent this year—the most wins against the West since the 2015-16 season (19).
Scoring 146 points, the Hawks notched the second-most points in a single game this season. Atlanta shot a scorching .533% (49-92 FGM) from the field, marking their 24th game of the season hitting .500% or better. From downtown, Atlanta drained 25 of 54 three-pointers (.463%), tying the franchise record for triples in a game and marking the 23rd time this season the team has shot .400% or better from deep. Eleven different Hawks hit a three, the second time in franchise history that many players connected from long range. The last time 11 players hit at least one three was December 21, 2024, also against Memphis.
The Hawks went to the line with precision, making 23 of 25 free throws (.920%), their seventh game of the season shooting .900% or better. This marks the fourth time this season Atlanta recorded 50/40/90 shooting splits—second-most in the NBA behind Denver (5).
Defensively, Atlanta was just as dominant, recording 12 steals for their 36th game with double-digit thefts, the second-most in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks improved to 26-10 this season when posting 10+ steals. On the playmaking side, Atlanta dished out 37 assists, giving them a league-leading 43rd game of 30+ assists this season. With that total, the Hawks surpassed 2,188 total assists, the second-most in a single season in franchise history.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the scoring with 26 points on 8-11 shooting, including 4-6 from three and a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe, along with six assists and two rebounds in 26 minutes. This game extended his career-best streak to 41 straight double-digit scoring games and marked his 67th double-digit outing of the season, the most in his career and third-most in the NBA this season. Alexander-Walker is now shooting .901% from the line, ranking fifth in the NBA before tonight.
CJ McCollum added 15 points on 3-5 from deep, four rebounds, and a season-high nine assists in just 22 minutes. His seven assists in the first half tied for the second-most in a single half of his career and was only the 10th time he’s handed out seven or more in one half.
Onyeka Okongwu recorded 16 points on 5-7 shooting, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block in 20 minutes, marking his 55th double-digit game of the season. His block tonight was the 400th of his career, putting him among just 11 Hawks in franchise history to reach that mark.
Jonathan Kuminga came off the bench to score 16 points on 5-7 shooting, including a career-tying four three-pointers, with five rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes. Dyson Daniels added 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists in 24 minutes, marking his 45th game scoring 10 or more this season. Zaccharie Risacher chipped in 11 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in 26 minutes off the bench, his 29th double-digit game of the year.
For Memphis, GG Jackson had 26 points on 9-14 shooting, while Tyler Burton scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds off the bench.
Atlanta now turns its attention to the road, heading to Detroit to take on the Pistons on March 25. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
