Hawks Capture 10th Straight Win, Defeat Magic 124-112

The Atlanta Hawks have officially surpassed cloud nine—and they’re not coming down anytime soon.

With a 124-112 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday night at State Farm Arena, Atlanta extended its winning streak to 10 straight games, continuing what has quickly turned into one of the hottest runs in the NBA right now.

In front of a sellout crowd of 18,138, the energy inside the arena matched the moment. From the opening tip, the Hawks played with pace, confidence, and a clear sense of control that has defined this stretch.

Atlanta didn’t waste time setting the tone.

The Hawks jumped out to a strong start, building a 34-21 lead by the end of the first quarter behind efficient scoring and active defense. That early momentum carried into the second quarter, where Atlanta continued to push the pace and capitalize on Orlando’s struggles, taking a commanding 67-50 lead into halftime.

It wasn’t just the scoring—it was how the Hawks were getting it done. Ball movement, second-chance opportunities, and defensive pressure all played a role in building separation early.

And then came the performances.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker delivered one of his best outings of the season, finishing with a game-high 41 points on 12-of-21 shooting, including a scorching 9-of-14 from beyond the arc. Every time the Magic tried to build momentum, Alexander-Walker had an answer. Whether it was pulling up from deep or attacking off the dribble, he stayed aggressive and in rhythm all night long.

Jalen Johnson continued to show why he’s becoming one of the most versatile players on this roster. Johnson recorded a triple-double with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists, impacting the game in every phase. He controlled the glass, facilitated the offense, and made key plays that kept Atlanta in command throughout.

Dyson Daniels added another strong performance with 15 points and 12 rebounds, bringing energy on both ends of the floor, while Onyeka Okongwu contributed 15 points and 7 rebounds, anchoring the paint and providing a steady interior presence.

As a team, Atlanta shot 46.2% from the field and knocked down 16 three-pointers, continuing to showcase the offensive efficiency that has fueled this winning streak. The Hawks also dominated on the glass, finishing with 54 total rebounds and capitalizing on second-chance opportunities that kept possessions alive.

The third quarter proved to be the turning point—and ultimately the knockout punch.

Atlanta outscored Orlando 37-33 in the frame, extending its lead to as many as 29 points. The offense remained fluid, the defense stayed active, and the Hawks never allowed the Magic to find any consistent rhythm.

By the time the fourth quarter rolled around, the game had already shifted firmly in Atlanta’s favor.

Orlando made a late push, outscoring the Hawks 29-20 in the final period, but the deficit proved too large to overcome. Atlanta’s earlier dominance gave them more than enough cushion to close things out and secure the win.

For the Magic, Paolo Banchero led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Desmond Bane added 18 points. Orlando shot 42.1% from the field and connected on 14 three-pointers but struggled to match Atlanta’s pace and execution throughout the night.

But this game wasn’t just about one win—it was about what this streak is becoming.

Ten straight victories don’t happen by accident. This is a team that has found its rhythm at the right time, playing with confidence, chemistry, and a clear identity. The ball is moving, players are stepping up, and the energy on both ends of the floor has been consistent night after night.

There’s also a different feel around this group right now.

The confidence is visible. The communication is sharper. And most importantly, the belief is there.

Every win is building on the last, and with each game, the Hawks look more and more like a team that could be dangerous heading into the postseason.

From dominant scoring nights to all-around team efforts, Atlanta is finding ways to win in multiple ways—and that’s what makes this run even more impressive.

Although “Magic City Monday” was canceled, the Hawks still delivered a performance worthy of the moment, giving fans plenty to celebrate inside State Farm Arena.

Next up, Atlanta will hit the road, traveling to Dallas to take on the Mavericks on Wednesday , March 18, before heading to Houston to face the Rockets on Friday, The Hawks will return home on Saturday March 21. to State Farm Arena, where they’ll look to keep the streak alive in front of their home crowd as they take on the Warriors.
