Falcons Sign Jammie Robinson, Place KhaDarel Hodge on Injured Reserve Ahead of Week 16

The Atlanta Falcons made a roster move ahead of Sunday’s Week 16 road matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, signing safety Jammie Robinson to the active roster from the practice squad. In a corresponding move, the team placed wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge on the reserve/injured list.

Robinson’s promotion comes after multiple game-day elevations this season and reflects the team’s continued trust in his versatility and preparation. Originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round (145th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Florida State, Robinson has built a well-traveled NFL résumé early in his career. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound defensive back has appeared in 24 games with two starts across stops with the Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, and now the Falcons. He has been elevated from Atlanta’s practice squad three times this season and will now be part of the active roster full-time.

Hodge, who has dealt with a shoulder injury throughout the week, was ruled out for Sunday and will miss additional time as he recovers. His absence impacts both the receiving group and special teams, where he has been a consistent contributor.

As the Falcons prepare for Sunday’s December 21 matchup in Arizona, injuries remain a storyline. Running back Bijan Robinson, cornerback Dee Alford, and edge rusher Leonard Floyd were full participants by the end of the week after earlier illness-related absences, signaling positive news for Atlanta’s lineup. Tight end Kyle Pitts and defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus were limited late in the week, while Drake London did not participate on Friday and is listed as questionable with a knee injury.

Defensively, rookie edge rusher James Pearce Jr. is also listed as questionable due to a foot injury, while cornerback Mike Hughes has been ruled out with an ankle injury. Several veterans, including Jessie Bates III, Kaden Elliss, Jake Matthews, Charlie Woerner, and David Onyemata, received rest days late in the week and are expected to be available.

With Robinson added to the roster and depth being tested across multiple position groups, the Falcons enter Week 16 focused on execution and health as they push toward the final stretch of the season. Sunday’s road test against the Cardinals presents another opportunity for Atlanta to build momentum as December football continues to tighten the playoff picture.
