The Atlanta Hawks delivered a dominant team performance Friday night, defeating the Indiana Pacers 128–108 in NBA Cup group play on October 31, 2025.
Jalen Johnson led the charge with a near triple-double, posting 22 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists. Nickeil Alexander-Walker stepped up in a spot start for the injured Trae Young, adding 21 points while keeping the offense flowing.
It was a total team effort for Atlanta, as seven different players scored in double figures — a testament to the Hawks’ depth and unselfish play. Despite missing their star point guard, the Hawks maintained control throughout the night, pushing the pace and dominating the glass.
The matchup against the Pacers also marked Atlanta’s first Cup Night contest of the 2025 Emirates NBA Cup. Trae Young missed the game due to a right knee sprain sustained in the previous matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. His status remains day-to-day as the team continues its road trip.
The Hawks will look to carry this momentum into their next contest on Sunday, November 2, when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers. Atlanta will return to State Farm Arena on Monday, November 4, for a rematch against the Orlando Magic — aiming to continue their winning momentum on home court.
