Atlanta Dream fans, what a night. With a statement 100-78 win over the Dallas Wings, the Dream not only clinched their spot in the 2025 WNBA Playoffs but also extended the franchise record for most wins in a single season with 25—and did it in electrifying fashion.
The starting five of Te-Hina Paopao, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Naz Hillmon, and Brionna Jones continues to deliver, now 3-1 with that lineup. Atlanta also improved its all-time record against Dallas to 17-31 overall and an impressive 12-3 at home, winning the regular-season series 3-1.
It was a night of milestones. The Dream set a season-high with 10 blocks, dropped a new best 31 points in a single quarter, and cracked the 100-point mark for the first time this season. Rhyne Howard stole the show with 24 points, four rebounds, five assists, and a career-high six blocks—becoming the first player in WNBA history to record six threes and six blocks in the same game. Allisha Gray etched her name in Dream history too, becoming the franchise’s single-season scoring leader with 728 points after posting 19 points, four rebounds, and five assists.
Paopao showed her poise beyond her years, finishing with 14 points, six rebounds, and eight assists in one of her most complete games yet. Brionna Jones delivered her usual dominance inside with 16 points and five boards, while Brittney Griner added 11 points and moved past Lisa Leslie into 13th place on the WNBA’s all-time field goals made list (2,333). All told, five Dream players scored in double figures as Atlanta rolled past the Wings.
The game itself was a highlight reel. Howard’s second-quarter three-point barrage lit up Gateway Center Arena, and by the fourth quarter, Atlanta’s defense and balanced attack shut the door for good. Caldwell and Coffey each buried late threes to put the exclamation point on the Dream’s 100-point night.
This wasn’t just another win—it was a statement. The Dream are playoff-bound, riding momentum, history-making performances, and the kind of swagger that says they’re ready for more.
Up next, Atlanta heads to Connecticut to face the Sun on Monday, September 1 at Mohegan Sun Arena. Tipoff is set for 1:00 pm.
