The Atlanta Vibe (19-8) showcased their resilience Thursday night with a thrilling reverse sweep over the Indy Ignite (13-14) at Fishers Event Center, marking their thirteenth consecutive win as they surge toward the postseason.
After dropping the first two sets, the Vibe stormed back behind a powerful offensive and defensive performance, led by outside hitter Leah Edmond. Edmond dominated the court with 20 kills on 50 swings, hitting an impressive .280 while also collecting 15 digs to complete a double-double performance. Fellow outside hitter Pia Timmer followed with 14 kills and 14 digs, adding another double-double to Atlanta’s tally.
Middle hitter Khori Louis brought steady pressure at the net, racking up 10 kills and leading the team with six blocks. Setter Marlie Monserez anchored the offense with 49 assists and chipped in five kills on seven attempts, along with 11 digs.
Defensively, the Vibe were relentless, with five players notching double-digit digs. Alongside Edmond and Timmer, opposite hitter Aiko Jones and libero Morgan Hentz both added 14 digs apiece. Monserez rounded out the group with her 11.
Atlanta’s ability to lock in after a slow start highlights the team’s chemistry and depth as they approach the end of the regular season with strong momentum.
The Vibe return home for their final regular season matchup on Sunday, May 4, against the Omaha Supernovas at Gas South Arena. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m. ET in what promises to be an electric finale before the postseason.
