The Atlanta Vibe (17–8) rolled into CHI Health Center on Saturday evening and handed the top‑seeded Omaha Supernovas (17–7) their first loss in nearly a month, dispatching them in straight sets (25–19, 25–21, 25–17) to notch their eleventh consecutive victory — the longest win streak in league history. With the win, the Vibe pull even with Omaha atop the 2025 standings, each boasting 17 victories.
Offensively, Atlanta’s attack was in cruise control. Opposite hitter Aiko Jones led the charge with 13 kills on 21 swings, posting a blistering .571 attack percentage. Outside hitter Leah Edmond chipped in 12 kills of her own, hitting .308, while four other Vibe hitters surpassed the .300 mark. As a unit, Atlanta hit .345 and committed just four attack errors, stifling Omaha’s defensive rotations.
In the back row, libero Morgan Hentz was virtually untouchable, piling up 15 digs in three sets for a 5.00 digs‑per‑set average. Her performance not only fueled several Vibe counter‑attacks but also kept the Supernovas’ powerful offense off balance. Overall, Atlanta out‑dug Omaha, 58–49, as the visitors struggled to find clean swings.
At the net, middle blockers Khori Louis and McKenna Vicini each recorded two solo rejections, with Edmond adding a pair of her own to help build early leads in each set. Meanwhile, setter Marlie Monserez orchestrated the offense masterfully, dishing out a career‑high 46 assists in just three sets — eclipsing her previous best by 10 helpers and keeping the Supernovas guessing throughout.
Next up for the Vibe is a home showdown against the Grand Rapids Rise on Saturday, April 26th. The franchise will celebrate Family and Unity Night with first serve set for 8:00 p.m. ET at the Gas South Arena, where Atlanta will look to keep its historic streak alive and pull ahead in the race for the league’s best record.
