The Atlanta Vibe (4-4) suffered a tough loss Thursday night against the Orlando Valkyries (4-4) at Gas South Arena. Orlando showcased a commanding performance, achieving a .340 hitting percentage as a team and outpacing Atlanta offensively throughout the match.
Middle blockers McKenna Vicini and Khori Louis were key contributors for the Vibe, leading the team’s hitting efficiency at .300 and .417, respectively. Despite Orlando’s dominance, outside hitter Leah Edmond made an impact with 10 kills and two blocks while recording a .250 hitting efficiency.
In a highlight for Atlanta, Pia Timmer returned to the active roster and made her season debut, contributing an ace and four digs during the match.
Looking to bounce back, the Vibe will remain at home to face the Omaha Supernovas on Saturday, February 8, at Gas South Arena. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
