Seven Atlanta United Players Receive National Team Call-Ups Ahead of Eastern Conference Semifinals

 

Seven Atlanta United players have been selected to represent their national teams during the FIFA international window from Nov. 11-19. The players called up include Luis Abram, Luke Brennan, Stian Gregersen, Saba Lobjanidze, Alexey Miranchuk, Efrain Morales, and Bartosz Slisz. All seven are expected to return before Atlanta United’s crucial Eastern Conference Semifinals match against Orlando City SC in the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 24, at 3:30 p.m. ET at Inter&Co Stadium (available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, 92.9 The Game, and La Mejor).

Player National Team Details:

•Luis Abram has joined the Peru national team for two CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers. Peru will host Chile on Nov. 16, followed by an away match against Argentina on Nov. 19. The experienced defender has earned 44 caps and one goal since making his international debut in 2016.

•Luke Brennan will represent the U.S. Under-20 Men’s Youth National Team in a training camp held in Marbella, Spain. The U.S. U-20 squad is set to face Korea Republic on Nov. 16 and France on Nov. 18. Brennan made his debut with the U-20 team during the October FIFA window and has continued to impress as a versatile winger.

•Stian Gregersen joins Norway for two UEFA Nations League matches, first away at Slovenia on Nov. 14 and then at home against Kazakhstan on Nov. 17. The 29-year-old center back has eight appearances with Norway since his debut in March 2021.

•Saba Lobjanidze returns to represent Georgia in two UEFA Nations League games, hosting Ukraine on Nov. 16 and playing away against Czechia on Nov. 19. Lobjanidze has 37 caps and three goals for Georgia and most recently represented his country in the 2024 UEFA European Championship.

•Alexey Miranchuk will play for Russia in two friendly matches at home, facing Brunei on Nov. 15 and Syria on Nov. 19. The midfielder has accumulated 45 caps and seven goals since his international debut in 2015.

•Efrain Morales has earned his first senior national team call-up for Bolivia after previously playing six times for the U-20 squad. Bolivia faces two FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers, first away at Ecuador on Nov. 14 and then hosting Paraguay on Nov. 19. This opportunity marks a significant step in the young defender’s career.

•Bartosz Slisz joins Poland for UEFA Nations League action, facing Portugal away on Nov. 15 and hosting Scotland on Nov. 18. The defensive midfielder has represented Poland 13 times at the senior level since 2021.
