The Atlanta Gladiators have made significant roster changes with the reassignment of defenseman Jeremy Hanzel and the assignment of goaltender Ethan Haider, both from the Nashville Predators’ AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. Hanzel, a 21-year-old defenseman, has professional experience from the 2023-24 season, where he recorded two assists in five games. Originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche, he was traded to the Predators last season.
Ethan Haider, 23, is stepping into professional hockey after a successful collegiate career, most recently at the University of Connecticut. He brings solid goaltending experience from both UConn and Clarkson University, where he consistently posted strong numbers. Drafted by Nashville in 2019, Haider has played at multiple levels, including the USHL and NAHL.
In related roster moves, the Gladiators have released Josh Boyko, Matt Clark, Alex Cohen, Bradley Jenion, Brett Mecrones, Colby Muise, and Mitch Walinski ahead of their season opener against the Indy Fuel on October 19th at Gas South Arena.
