Despite Adversity-Filled Season Atlanta United Stay Resilient Ahead of Game 3 Playoffs

The two highest scoring teams during the MLS Regular Season have delivered goals as the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One Best-of-3 series between Atlanta United and Columbus Crew series sits tied 1-1 on games, and 4-4 in goals scored

Compared to Game 1 where Atlanta fell to Columbus Crew 2-0, Giorgos Giakoumakis, Xande Silva, Edwin Mosquera and 2023 MLS Young Player of the Year in Thiago  Almada each scored to set a club record for most goals in a playoff match to force a decisive Game 3.

In Game 2 Atlanta displayed their strength and endurance in a  high energy match.

Even through adversity this season, in spite of it all, they are staying alive in the series.

Atlanta will need to be focus and remain aggressive  throughout the 90 minutes for the must win on Sunday night. 

The 5 stripes finished the regular season in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, marking the fifth time in club history Atlanta returns to the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.
