Atlanta United Atlanta United played its first away match of the MLS campaign and came up with a 3-0 victory Saturday (today) as the team visited Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium.
Coming off of Atlanta’s 1-1 draw vs. Toronto FC on March 3. at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and prior to today’s match Atlanta led MLS in multiple categories including chances created (30), key passes (25), passes completed in the opponents’ penalty area (28) and possession (63.71%), nearly six percentage points higher than Charlotte FC who ranks second (57.75).
Scoring early was Atlanta Luiz Araújo sealing his first goal of the season, while Thiago Almada added his second assist. Caleb Wiley became just the third player in club history to score two goals and add an assist. Brad Guzan made three saves to keep his first clean sheet of the season and
Atlanta remains through three matches for the first time in club history.

Atlanta United will return home to face Portland on Sat Marc 18. at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. Kickoff is at 7:30.
