Preseason: Skyhawks defeat Squadron 119-95

On Saturday the College Park Skyhawks defeated the Birmingham Squadron, 119-95 in a preseason scrimmage at Gateway Center Arena.

Armoni Brooks, led the team in scoring 30 points on 10-14 FG and 8-12 3FG. The Skyhawks connected on six threes in the opening frame, with Brooks’ landing his three attempts.

The team finished with 19 threes on 36 attempts (.528 3FG%) and 26 assists.

“We wanted to make this as game-like as possible,” said Skyhawks Head Coach Steve Gansey. “We wanted to get these guys ready for next week, and our guys’ approach to today was great.”

 

The Skyhawks will open the Showcase Cup portion of the NBA G League with two games at home when the team face the Long Island Nets on Friday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 6.
