Dream Still Fighting For Playoff Spot

Atlanta defense struggled on Tuesday night against the Las Vegas Aces giving up 97 points resulting in a seven-point defeat and gaining their second straight loss.

β€œNot the outcome we wanted but we had a lot of positives tonight. There’s a lot that I could say about the girls and their effort. We just gotta have short-term memory and get back to Atlanta and focus on our New York series right now. Really proud of the girls’ effort, how hard they played and the good things that we did do.” said head coach Tanisha Wright.

It ain’t over: Atlanta has two games left and the odds of making it pass the regular season is high. Atlanta is currently number 5 in the Eastern Conference. The Liberty and Dream are among the four teams competing for the final two postseason spots.

 

Up next: The Atlanta Dream (14-20) will play the final regular season home game when the team face the New York Liberty (14-20) this Friday, August 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network and Bally Sports South.
