Dream rookie guard Rhyne Howard was named the WNBA Kia Rookie of the Month for the second consecutive month, the league announced today.

The accolade marks Howard’s fifth of her debut season, coming just a week after she was named to the 2022 WNBA All-Star team. She became the Dream’s second-ever rookie All-Star in franchise history, and the first rookie to make the All-Star team since Napheesa Collier in 2019.
Howard also took home the WNBA Rookie of the Month award in May as the top-scoring first-year player and top-10 scoring player in the league. Howard also became the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week on May 15, Associated Press Player of the Week on May 16.
