The Atlanta Dream announced their renewed partnership with Nike, the WNBA and the NBA to take part in season three of Nike’s Game Growers initiative. The Atlanta Dream are one of 40 participating WNBA and NBA teams participating in the third season of the program.
By the time girls reach 8th grade, they are 50 percent more likely to drop out of sports than boys. This creates physical and social barriers that can last a lifetime. Game Growers elevates and enables the ideas of 7th and 8th grade girls to help grow girls’ participation in sports.
Girls who are ages 13+ and in 7th or 8th grade and are passionate about getting more girls in sports are encouraged to grab a friend and apply ongamegrowers.com. Applications are due by November 15, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
