ATLANTA – The Atlanta Dream announced today an agreement with Agnes Scott College to make the Woodruff Athletic Complex the team’s official practice facility during the 2021 season.
The Dream practiced at both Georgia State and Agnes Scott during the 2019 season, but will now spend the entire upcoming season on the Scotties’ campus, starting with training camp on Sunday, April 25.
“The partnership with Agnes Scott College is a great opportunity to ensure women are viewed as first movers – in athletics, in education and in life,” said Dream head coach Nicki Collen. “Working with an all-female college and having the chance to bring in the best athletes to their campus is good business for both of us and the community, where we will work together on issues that are important to women.”
“We are excited that the Atlanta Dream has chosen Agnes Scott College as their home and welcome them to campus and to the Decatur community,” said Agnes Scott College Athletic DirectorMarkesha M. Henderson.
The Atlanta Dream will tip-off their 14th season in the WNBA in May 2021. The organization, who will play its home games at the Gateway Center Arena @ College Park, has qualified for the WNBA Playoffs in nine of its first 13 seasons. Season tickets for the 2021 season are available now by calling 877-977-7729 or visiting www.atlantadream.net. More ticketing information and arena protocols will be announced in the coming weeks.
