Earlier today the Hawks Talon GC, which is the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, hosted a special livestream on the team’s official Twitch channel series with the first-ever solo female rapper from Atlanta Mulatto.
As part of the stream, they highlighted her background, specifically what it was like growing up in Atlanta and they also discussed her accomplishments and her recently released music.
“We were so thrilled to have Atlanta’s own Mulatto jump on Talon Takeover with us,” said Acuff. “Playing NBA 2K with her was a fun experience for our fans, and we look forward to continuing to show our support for her as she continues to make waves in the music industry.”
21 year old, Mulatto has been making a name for herself since she was 10 years old. The Rap Game Season One winner has continually released music since 2016 and signed with RCA Records in 2020. She is one of only two women inducted into the XXL 2020 Freshman Class, earning her another major milestone in her burgeoning career. In addition to her own music, Mulatto has been inescapable; from her recent cameo in Cardi B’s “WAP” video featuring Megan Thee Stallion, to countless features including NLE Choppa’s “Make Em Say,” and Hitmaka’s “Thot Box (Remix).” Earlier this month, Mulatto released the extended version of her major label debut project Queen of Da Souf that features five new tracks, including “Sex Lies” feat. Lil Baby. She is widely recognized as a part of the elite new wave of female rappers, such as Flo Milli, City Girls, Saweetie and more.
Last month, Hawks Talon announced the creation of the one-of-a-kind content series called Talon Takeover which will feature celebrities, entertainers and influencers playing the popular video game NBA 2K21 online. The series tipped off last week and welcomed Emmanuel Lawrence (also known as Manni Supreme) as the host of the series.
