Following a four-day holiday break after their last contest on December 21st, the Atlanta Gladiators conquered the South Carolina Stingrays 4-3 on Thursday night. The win snapped a five-game losing streak.

The Gladiators returned to home ice on Friday, December 27th and was unable to outlast the South Carolina Stingrays 3-1.

On Sunday, the Glads closed out the year with a win against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits 4-1. Former head coach Andy Brandt was Inducted into the Hall of Fame, and the brand new alternative jersey was unveiled.

It was announced on yesterday that the team traded for 26-year-old left-handed shooting forward from Ontario, Canada Reid Jackman. Jackman comes to Atlanta via the Newfoundland Growlers for future considerations.
The Glads will conclude the homestand on Saturday Jan 4, at 7:05 PM when the team host the Norfolk Admirals on the annual Atlanta Hockey Heritage Night. The first 4,500 fans will receive a free mesh jersey. The team will be honoring the Atlanta Flames, Atlanta Knights, and Atlanta Thrashers. The team will also debut the new third alternate jersey.
