In the second half Atlanta outscored Minnesota, 73‐49. The Hawks +24‐point differential in the second half is its largest positive point differential in either half this season and the largest since May 5, 2021 against Phoenix (+30, second half).
In the third quarter, the Hawks outscored the Timberwolves, 45‐20 and recorded nine blocks, with six of those nine blocks coming in the third quarter.

With a injured Patrick Beverley early in the first and midway in the third shooting guard Anthony Edwards picked up two technicals, and was ejected; Minnesota loss their fight in the battle. A energized Trae Young erupted in the third, causing the Wolves to struggle on the defensive end and their offense could not stop Ice Trae.

Per Elias Sports, Young became the first player in NBA history to tally 35+ points, 14+ assists and 5+ rebounds while shooting at least .500‐or‐better from the floor, .600‐or‐better from deep and a perfect 1.000 clip from the charity stripe.
De’Andre Hunter finished with 22 points, John Collins recorded his 12th double‐double, with 17 points, a game‐high 12 rebounds, and three assists.
Onyeka Okongwu chipped in 17 points. Danilo Gallinari collected 15 points and 6 rebounds. Kevin Huerter rounded of the scoring effort with 12 points, and 6 assists.
Hawks Head Coach Nate McMillan secured his 707th career victory, tying John MacLeod for the 18th‐most regular season wins as a head coach in NBA history.
