Both teams battled back and forth throughout the fourth quarter with the Dream taking the lead and the glimmer of hope shine through in the final seconds until Sparks Candace Parker got to the rim and put the ball in at the buzzer to tie the score 81-81 and push the game to overtime.

In overtime the Dream loss control of the game and the Sparks walked away with a win.
Glory Johnson led the team in scoring a season-high 23 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

Betnijah Laney recorded her first career double-double with 15 points and a career-best 11 assists.
Both Courtney Williams and Shekinna Stricklen finished with 16 points. Williams gained her eighth double-figure scoring effort of the season, and Stricklen secured her fourth double-figure effort of the season, with her 3 three-pointers made, she now has 444 in her career.
Atlanta’s record against Los Angeles moves to 16-13 all-time.
