Dream unable to avoid 6th straight L

In the rematch of Atlanta and Seattle the Dream’s defense experienced similar struggles, on Wednesday in the Wubble. Sue Bird returned to the court and guided the Storm to their 6th straight win at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Early in the 1st Betnijah Laney took her game to another level with accumulating 7 points to lead the Dream.

In the end the Storm connected on both side of the courts and dealt the Dream a HUGE blowout, winning the game 100-63

Seattle showed how they have the best defensive effort in the league by collecting 18 threes setting the franchise record and tying the WNBA record for most threes in a game.

Blake Dietrick poured in a career-best 16 points, her second double-figure effort of the season.

The 37-point loss was the largest margin of defeat in franchise history. Atlanta’s record against Seattle moves to 16-14 all-time.

Next up: Atlanta Dream now (2-7) are looking to end their 6-game losing streak when the team face the Phoenix Mercury (5-4) this Friday, August 14 at 10:00 p.m. ET on Fox Sports Southeast.
