The Atlanta Hawks was unable to stop the Houston Rockets from snatching the 115-112 win on Wednesday night at State Farm Arena. Hawks Trae Young wins by making NBA history.
Young captured his second triple-double of the season with 42 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, marking the first 40-point triple-double in Hawks history. Young leads the Eastern conference with six 40-point performances and has compiled the most 40-point games for a Hawk in one season since Dominique Wilkins’ eight such performances in the 1992-93 season.

Rockets James Harden also had a historical night. Â Harden picked up his 15th 40-point triple-double (2nd-most in NBA history), marking the first time in NBA history two different players compiled a 40-point triple double in the same game.

Alex Len notched his sixth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with one block in 23 minutes. Len has scored in double-figures in six out of his last seven contests.
