After adding three new faces to the team (Robbie Hall, Luke Stork and Jake Randolph), the Atlanta Gladiators sailed away with their biggest victory of the year beating their rival the Swamp Rabbits 8-2 on Friday in Greenville. Five Glads had multi-point game in the victory, including F Dante Hannoun’s three-point night, Robbie Hall, Nick Bligh, Tommy Marchin and Zach Maletesta.

On Saturday the Gladiators returned home to face the Jacksonville Icemen at Infinite Energy Arena.

In the 2nd period, Glads Avery Peterson scored the first goal of the night.

Jacksonville Icemen Craig Grame tied the score 1-1 with a goal assisted by Mike Hedden at 15:50 mark
At 18:40 Glads Derek Nesbitt scored a goal breaking the tie.

Followed by Dante Hannoun who scored another goal at 19:25. Hannoun is the first on the team with 15 points and 12 assists. He is also third in the league among rookies.

A goal scored in the 3rd period by Luke Nogard sealed the win for the Glads. This was Nogard’s 5th goal of the season.

The highlight of the night was the fight between Jacksonville’s Dalton Thrower and Atlanta’s Anthony Collins that drove the fans into a frenzy.
The Glads return to the ice on Wednesday when they host the Norfolk Admirals at 7:05 PM, and again on Friday to host Greenville on Zombie Night.
