The troubled running back was nearing the end of his 4-game suspension for violating the NFL conduct and substance abuse policy, stemming from three arrests last offseason. A Florida court sentenced Walton in August to six months’ probation after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor weapons charge.
Walton had been eligible to return in time for the Week 13 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
