Hawks meet and defeat the Timberwolves in OT

Atlanta Hawks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 131-123 in OT on Wednesday at State Farm Arena.

The energy level throughout the game was slightly higher than I’ve seen at a Hawks game in a long time. It was in OT when the enchantment begin. The score board exploded with escalating numbers delivered by the Hawks sending the crowd into a frenzy.

John Collins and Trae Young both kept the team in the game with Young collecting 36 (p) 10 (a) and 8(r), followed by Collins adding 34(p) and 8(r).

DeAndre Bembry also put scores on the board by gathering 6 of the 9 points seized in overtime.

In the end, Vince Carter accumulated 17 points and Bembry secured 16(p) 14 (r) to help the Hawks secure the win.

After the game we spoke to Trae Young and this is what he had to say about the team’s instinct and energy.

Young is continually producing monumental career highs. Young has now become the first rookie to have back to back 35 point games since Allen Iverson “AI”.

The Hawks are back in action, and seeking a back to back win when the team face the Chicago Bulls this evening at State Farm Arena. Tip-off begins at 7:30.
