It was a good fight, but the Dream was deflated when the Sparks delivered a crushing L on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
With her six rebounds, Jessica Breland now has 995 career rebounds over her 6+ seasons in the WNBA. Breland finished with a new season-high 14 points against the Sparks. Eastern Conference Player of the Week Tiffany Hayes finished with 16 points. She has scored in double-figures in all nine games this season. Blake Dietrick played a career-high 13 minutes and recorded her first points and rebound of the season. She also added her first career steal and assist.

“I thought we didn’t shoot the ball well tonight obviously, but I thought we really battled. I thought we got really good play off our bench actually, even in her absence. I thought our defense stepped up. I thought we were aggressive defensively. I thought we held them to one shot in the second half and basically won the second half. So even though she (Hayes) was in foul trouble, I thought our second unit battled.” Coach Nicki Collen.
The Dream has now fallen to 5-4 on the season and close out this road trip with a 2-1 record.
