The Dream fall short in its home opener Game against Dallas

The Dream fall short 70-78  in its home opener against the Wings on Saturday. They are now 1-2.

Angel McCoughtry scored 19 points and now ranks 17th overall among WNBA career scoring leaders at 5,032 career points.
Elizabeth Williams scored 14 points and grabbed a new season-high eight rebounds.
Tiffany Hayes also finished with 14 points and dished out a new season-high four assists.

After the game we caught up with Coach Nicki and she spoke about  future improvements… “I hope we shoot it better. I think when you are a pro team and you shoot 28 percent it’s hard to win games. I thought our defense was really on point. Between game one and game two I thought our attention to detail was better, our defense on Cambage was better, our defense on Skylar…until late. She picked up a bunch of fouls and got to go to the foul line late, but I think our defense was better. I think we made progress from the first time we played them, but we’ve got to execute better. We have to time screen better. It’s hard to get Cambage very far from the rim unless you have a three-point shooting five player. She’s just always lurking, and so we had to make some tough plays around the rim. We had to be creative with screening her. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t.”

The Dream will matchup against the Lynx on Tuesday,  May 28,2018  7:00 pm EST., at McCamish Pavilion.
