Falcons Make Roster Moves Ahead of Colts Joint Practices

The Atlanta Falcons are making a few roster adjustments as the team prepares to hit the road for a busy week in Indianapolis.

Atlanta has signed wide receiver Beaux Collins and, in a corresponding move, released wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson.

Collins entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent, signing with the New York Giants following the 2025 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. He appeared in nine games during his rookie season before making his way to Atlanta.

The Los Angeles native brings plenty of collegiate experience to the Falcons’ receiving room. Collins played four seasons between Clemson and Notre Dame, appearing in 48 games with 43 starts. He finished his college career with 132 receptions for 1,780 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The Falcons also announced the release of punter Matthew Hayball and offensive lineman Layden Robinson as the team continues evaluating its roster ahead of the regular season.

The moves come just before Atlanta heads to Indianapolis for two days of joint practices with the Colts.

The Falcons and Colts will hold their first joint practice on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 3 p.m., followed by another session on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m.

Those practices will give Atlanta another opportunity to evaluate its roster against a different opponent before the two teams meet in preseason action.

The Falcons will wrap up the road trip by taking on the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium.

With roster decisions getting closer and another preseason matchup ahead, every practice rep and game opportunity becomes a little more important for players looking to secure their place on Atlanta’s final roster.
