The Atlanta Vibe ran into a tough road test Sunday, falling to the Dallas Pulse in straight sets, 3–0.
Dallas controlled the pace of the match early, taking a tightly contested first set 25–23 to grab the early momentum. Atlanta stayed within striking distance throughout the set, but the Pulse made just enough plays late to secure the opener.
The second set followed a similar script. The Vibe battled point-for-point but Dallas again closed strong, pulling out a 25–22 win to take a 2–0 lead in the match.
Looking to extend the contest, Atlanta pushed back in the third set, but Dallas continued to apply pressure and sealed the victory with a 25–20 result to complete the sweep.
Opposite hitter Aiko Jones led the Vibe offensively with 15 kills while adding four digs and a block in an all-around effort. Setter Averi Carlson, playing in her home state of Texas, directed the offense with 29 assists and contributed seven digs defensively.
Despite the setback, the Vibe now turn their focus back home. Atlanta returns to Gas South Arena for its next matchup against the Orlando Valkyries on Thursday, March 19 at 7 p.m. Eastern.
