Trae Young Lists Atlanta Mansion for $8.17 Million

Former Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young is officially closing a chapter in Atlanta — and doing it in a big way.

Young has listed his 11,000-square-foot Atlanta mansion for $8.17 million following his trade from the Atlanta Hawks to the Washington Wizards. The European-inspired estate sits in Buckhead inside a private gated community and delivers the kind of luxury living that mirrors the superstar career Young built during his time in the city.

The property spans approximately 11,000 square feet on 2.5 acres and features six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, including seven full baths and four half baths. The home blends modern luxury with classic European design, creating a space that feels both grand and intimate.

Among the standout features is a heated saltwater pool and spa, perfect for relaxing or entertaining during Atlanta’s warm months. The outdoor area also includes a fireside lounge that overlooks the pool, giving the property a resort-style atmosphere.

Inside the home, the chef’s kitchen anchors the main living space, designed with high-end appliances and plenty of room for hosting. Large open living areas, detailed finishes, and expansive windows allow natural light to flow throughout the property.

The estate also includes a four-car garage and a finished terrace level, adding even more space for entertainment, recreation, or additional living areas.

Young purchased the Buckhead property in July 2025 for $7.84 million, meaning the current listing price reflects a modest increase since he acquired the home. The property is being represented by Leigh and Michael Schiff of Christie’s International Realty.

While Young is preparing to move on from the Atlanta property, his real estate portfolio remains impressive. The All-Star guard also owns a $20 million mansion in Calabasas, California, which he purchased in 2022.

For Atlanta fans, the listing represents more than just another luxury home hitting the market — it’s another reminder of the end of an era.

Young quickly became one of the most recognizable athletes in the city after being drafted by Atlanta in 2018. Known for his deep shooting range, flashy playmaking, and fearless performances in big moments, he helped lead the Hawks to the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals, delivering some of the most electric playoff moments the franchise has seen in years.

His time in Atlanta turned him into both a franchise cornerstone and a fan favorite. From logo-range three-pointers to game-winning assists, Young’s style of play made him one of the league’s most exciting guards.

Now, with his move to Washington, both his career and lifestyle are shifting.

Listing the Buckhead mansion signals that the transition is fully underway as Young begins his next chapter with the Wizards. While the house itself reflects luxury and privacy, it also served as the backdrop for a key stretch of Young’s NBA journey.

And as Atlanta continues to look toward its future, the property listing quietly marks the closing of one of the franchise’s most memorable recent eras.
